Yesterday we came back from our vacation at Nosy be (Nosy be means big island ). The drive was the longest drive I have ever been on, it was 12 hours long. When we got to the place we were going to stay it was dark. I was suspicious when I saw no lights on in the hotel. I thought that the hotel was not out of business because we made a reservation. But I was wrong, it was out of business! Then it started to get worse… it started to rain! Not just rain but thunder and lightning as well. When I saw the hotel it looked old and run down. We went back to another hotel, Hotel Babobab, we had passed to check if they had any rooms available but they had none. The manager said we could eat dinner there but when we got to the restaurant they said there was no food left so we had a granola bar instead. Then we drove 30 minutes back to a town and stayed at a hotel called Nord inn. It was good for a Malagasy hotel. The next morning we got back in the car and drove 3 hours to a place called Ankarana. We went to a place at Ankarana called the Limestone tsingy. We climbed on cool rock formations and went a cross bridges.
We stayed there one night in a little bungalow. The next day we drove back to Hotel Baobab because they saved some rooms for us. We stayed two nights there then we got on a ferry and headed towards Nosy be. When we got there we had to go shopping it was the worst super market I had ever been to. It was super stinky and I could smell it from my car. There was also this french bakery and it was the best store I had ever been to in Madagascar. It reminded me of home. When we got to hotel Vanilla, the place we stayed at in Nosy Be, we played in the pool the rest of the day.

The next day we played in the pool all day. The following day we went to a amazing beach and went snorkeling and saw some cool fish. We also ate lunch there and it was some of the best food in Madagascar. The next day we went to a place called Lookabe and we saw some cool animals there like black lemurs, a leaf tail gecko, snakes and tiny little chameleons.
The next days we just played in the pool then we got on the ferry and went home. We stayed at Hotel Baobab again and we also went snorkeling in the mangroves. It was fun.
The next day we did the long drive home. After 12 hours, when we were close to our town we live in there was this long line of cars. Some guy told us there was a broken bridge. So we had to wait for 4 hours and then finally we started to move. Then we got home and played with our dogs. I was happy to be home.
